Quality, innovation and customer service convince JostGroup to intensify existing cooperation

The fast growing Luxembourg transport company JostGroup equips its entire fleet with Transics on-board computers. The new order follows a long and successful cooperation between JostGroup and Transics. The transporter, which grew tremendously in the last years due to take-overs and internal growth, chooses for an advanced fleet management solution, which generates a clear competitive advantage. By choosing determinedly for Transics, also for the vehicles which JostGroup took over from Transport Weerts, the group confirms its trust in Europe’s market leader in high-end fleet management solutions.

JostGroup, a fixed value in the European transport world, knew an impressive growth in the past 2 years due to acquisitions and internal growth. By taking over the transport department of the Weerts Group, who supplies all Carrefour stores, the number of employees grew from 600 to 1100 at the end of 2008. To boost the efficiency after this strategic take-over and to support the growth, JostGroup opted for a complete equipped fleet with one fleet management system. After a thorough screening, they decided to intensify the long-term cooperation with Transics. Besides the JostGroup Trucks, already equipped with the Transics Quattro Plus on-board computers, the vehicles JostGroup took over from Weerts will be fitted out with the new Transics TX-MAX on-board computers. The back office opted for renewal as well, with the newest back office software in hosting model, Transics’ TX-CONNECT.

Reliable partners with advanced functionalities

Transics convinced JostGroup in different aspects. “We have been working together for more than 10 years now. All this time, Transics has been an excellent partner, who provided us with qualitative and trustworthy solutions and services,” quoted André Wansart, IT Manager of JostGroup. “Transics understands the transport world and knows our challenges; they offer us an innovative functionality to support our complex tasks. Therefore we want to integrate features like the TX-DOCSCAN mobile document scanner and Temperature Control in the future.” Thanks to the TX-DOCSCAN drivers can now send their documents from their cabin to the home base, which provides a quick and swift invoicing process. The digital management of temperatures will allow JostGroup to survey the temperature of the cargo more easily and to optimize the quality. This option will be mostly beneficial for Carrefour, a JostGroup client.

Transparency and collaboration with TX-CONNECT

Next to the new TX-MAX on-board computers, JostGroup also chose for TX-CONNECT, Transics’ new back office software. TX-CONNECT guarantees advanced possibilities for an enforced transparency, collaboration and interaction between the different players of the logistic chain. This way, both drivers, dispatchers, managers and subcontractors get a better insight in all information which is send via the on-board computers.

With the conception of the platform, user-friendliness and an easy integration were essential. Because of the smooth integration into the existing back office software for transport management (DST of Puissance I and TMW of Transport Care), TX-CONNECT is a cost-efficient solution to streamline and optimize operational processes. Important for the transport group was the hosting formula of TX-CONNECT, by which Transics is responsible for managing servers and applications. This way JostGroup can focus on its core activities: transport and logistics services.

Trust confirmed

“JostGroup strives for a day-to-day provision of logistic solutions with an added value”, concludes André Wansart, IT Manager of JostGroup. “Thanks to Transics, we can increase our efficiency and decrease our operational costs, this way we can differentiate ourselves even better from other logistic service providers.” Walter Mastelinck, CEO of Transics, is pleased with the persistency of the cooperation: “Transics has more than 19 years of experience in the market of high-end fleet management solutions. We use this expertise to permanently complete and improve our services for our customers. This way we stay a trendsetter with a broad and qualitative fleet management system. The existing customers like JostGroup are happy to turn to the new solutions, which confirms their trust in our expertise.”
