Thys Tanktransport and Eutraco are respectively rewarded with ‘Transporter of the Year 2010’ and ‘Truck ICT Award 2010’
On February 11, the prestigious event Transport and Logistics Awards 2010 took place in Brussels. Different customers of Transics have received an award. The most important title of the evening, Transporter of the Year 2010, was won by Thys Tanktransport.
Truck & Business has organized the 18th edition of its annual distribution of prizes Transport & Logistics Awards at Tour & Taxis in Brussels (BE) on Thursday 11th February. During this event, the most representative companies from the transport and logistics sector are put in the spotlight with different awards. There is also an international prize that is presented, the European Company Award.
Transics’ customers in the front row during awards
Multiple Transics’ customers were rewarded for their daily dedication in the transport world. The Thys Tanktransport company in Merksem has won the most important title and became Transporter of the Year 2010. Important criteria for this reward were the strategic choices of the company; the way in which management has succeeded in creating added-value to distinguish itself from its competitors; the precision of the daily management; and the general organization of the company. The Transgem company in Waremme has ended with the second place in the Transporter of the Year competition, while the third place was for Michel Groupe TFM (Houdeng-Gougnies).
The Eutraco company in Roeselare was rewarded for its efforts in the area of informatics and communication within daily transport activities and was granted the Truck ICT Award 2010. Important aspects were a better customer service of the company, a higher turnover without extra employees, and an increased safety.
In this prize category, Isotopes Services International (Mechelen) has won the second place.
Macotruck, founded in Zeebrugge, has won the Transport Safety Award 2010. Safety is one of the most important points of attention in this company and is guaranteed by its prevention policy for both the employees and the material. Specific action points take care of general commitment within all the layers of the company.
Michel Groupe TFM has scored in this field as well: the company has taken the third place in this award category.
In the international category of European Transport Company of the Year, also Transics’ customers were represented. Van Dievel – the Transporter of the Year 2009 – has become second, whilst the Romanian transporter International Lazar Company has won the third place.
As a final touch, Wambacq Peeters (Asse-Zellik) has won the second place in the Green Truck Award 2010.
A nice reward and motivation
