Nabuurs Transport optimizes customer service with Transics

On-board computers and mobile document scanners enable a faster invoicing and a better customer service

Nabuurs Transport, a logistic service provider with headquarters in Haps (the Netherlands), recently manages its fleet with the solutions of Transics International. Initially the company will invest in 250 TX-MAX on-board computers, 130 mobile document scanners and TX-CONNECT software. By choosing the high-end on-board computers and scanners of a European market leader, Nabuurs Transport aims to enhance efficiency and optimize the customer service in order to differentiate itself on the current competitive market.

Nabuurs Transport, part of the Nabuurs logistic Group, daily deploys 250 trucks for the transport of Fast Moving Consumer Goods, mainly food articles, throughout the Benelux. Insight and overview – thanks to reliable, complete and real-time data – are crucial to optimally manage such a fleet. That is why Nabuurs Transport has equipped its trucks with Transics TX-MAX on-board computers, including a connection with the CAN Bus and digital tacho solutions, and 130 TX-DOCSCAN mobile document scanners. At the back office, the Transics TX-CONNECT software has been integrated with TeamSoft (MDRS) for the automatic wages payment of the drivers and with Ortec (OTD) for a real-time planning exchange.

Better customer service and faster invoicing

The TX-MAX and TX-CONNECT solutions guarantee a real-time information flow, which considerably optimizes the management of the fleet and customer service. The TX-DOCSCAN enables drivers to scan their waybills in their cabin, so that the documents quickly arrive at the back office. Furthermore, thanks to the high quality of the scans, they can be processed automatically (via OCR software – Optical Character Recognition). Based on the delivery and debtor numbers, each client can also archive and consult these scans. “The TX-DOCSCAN is a win both for Nabuurs and the customers. It enables us to improve our customer service, while our customers, the shippers, receive the waybills much faster, so that they can invoice quicker”, according to Tjebbe Nabuurs, director of Nabuurs Transport.

150 extra on-board computers in 2010
