Advanced automation as a clear competitive advantage in today’s challenging market
Tielbeke, a logistics services provider from Lemelerveld (the Netherlands) teams up with Transics International, a European market leader in high-end fleet management solutions for the transport and logistics sector. In 2010, Tielbeke will replace its transport and fleet management software and 125 existing on-board computers by Transics solutions. This deal proves that carriers are resolutely opting to move forward by choosing high-quality, proven solutions, even in today’s economically challenging times.
Tielbeke is a dynamic family business that offers logistics services on the Benelux market. Ever since its incorporation in 1957, the company has been committed to highly-motivated personnel, automation and innovation in order to offer its customers outstanding services. When it recently became clear that its existing administrative software could no longer meet the demands of the rapidly changing market, Tielbeke selected administrative transport software, a fleet management solution and on-board computers by Transics. The on-board computers are equipped with advanced features, such as integrated navigation, the possibility to download digital tacho data and a CANBus connection which allows driving behaviour to be monitored, thus reducing the truck’s fuel consumption.
Total solution with advanced tools
“We wanted a standard solution from a well-reputed player,” said Robert Tielbeke, the carrier’s managing director. “A thorough selection procedure between 18 suppliers soon proved that Transics is the best choice. Transics’ total solution of software and on-board computers ensures maximal integration between the back office and the fleet. An extra plus is that the other haulage companies within the cross-border partnership that we operate in are also using Transics. In this way there is an optimal exchange of data.”
An edge on the competition
For Transics, this contract win clearly proves that carriers are, even in times of crisis, still opting for a top-quality solution that provides a competitive edge. “You have to keep up, otherwise you are quickly left behind in today’s competitive market,” emphasized Robert Tielbeke. “Transics’ total solution allows us to achieve our growth strategies and guarantee continuity.”
