Transics International N.V. (EURONEXT Brussels: TRAN), today announced its results for FY 2011.
Both transport companies are impressed by the broad, innovative features (e.g. eco driving), the integration possibilities and the experience that Transics offers
European fleet management leader Transics has recently equipped the trucks of carriers Wetron Transport & Logistics and Ben Becker Internationaal Transportbedrijf in the Netherlands with its on-board computers. Both transport groups were impressed by the features, the integration possibilities and the scalability of the Transics solution.
Wetron Transport & Logistics and Ben Becker Internationaal Transportbedrijf are two leading players in the Dutch transport market. Boasting a fleet of 110 and 165 trucks respectively, both companies provide national and international transport services. In 2011, both companies decided to look for a solution that would replace their existing i-Trace fleet management system, as a way to retain their focus on quality and customer-orientedness. Transics proposed to carry out a mini audit to analyse the carriers’ pain points. The demo that followed the audit was convincing enough for both to choose Transics. In the meantime, Wetron has equipped its entire fleet with TX-MAX on-board computers.
Perfect integration with the back office
“The demo was impressive. We were amazed by the countless possibilities of the Transics solution, both as far as functionality and integration are concerned,” said Martin Frenken, Financial Manager at Wetron. “Moreover, Transics really is a reference beacon in the transport market, which really gives confidence. Its on-board computers ensure a perfect integration between our back office, i.e. the planning, billing, etc. and our field services. With Transics, drivers and planners collaborate more easily and efficiently and our customer services have significantly improved. Moreover, Transics is much more than a supplier for Wetron. It is an IT partner who, in close cooperation with our teams, helps search ways to further reinforce our focus on quality, safety and the environment.”
“Lean and green”
“The combination of exceptional system performance and ease-of-use, that is what convinced Ben Becker to opt for Transics. We are confident that Transics will help convert our company into an even more “lean and green” business than we are already today. The real-time overview of driving and resting times, the track and trace possibilities, the management reporting and the driving style analyses all help us substantially enhance our operations, including customer services,” confirmed Wijnand Hartman at Ben Becker.
Both Ben Becker and Wetron have implemented Transics’ eco driving solution. “Based on the technical data the on-board computer generates (on anticipation, speed, braking behaviour, number of revolutions, etc.), we gain insight into the driving style of our team, so that we can adjust it if needed. In this way, our people on the road will drive more energy-efficiently, greener and safer,” added Wetron’s Martin Frenken. On top of eco driving features, Ben Becker also integrated the EVL module (Emergency Vehicle Location), which helps reduce insurance taxes.
