Shippers can track their orders in TimoCom freight and vehicle platform thanks to integration with Transics back office software

EFFICIENCY INCREASE BOTH FOR SHIPPERS AND CARRIERS

Fleet management expert Transics teams up with TimoCom, the provider of the TC Truck&Cargo® European freight and vehicle exchange. Data from Transics` TX-CONNECT back office platform will be integrated into TimoCom’s freight exchange market. In this way, users of the TimoCom platform can track Transics’ carriers directly from their familiar TimoCom interface.

The TC Truck&Cargo® platform that TimoCom developed is Europe’s leading freight and vehicle exchange platform: every day, up to 300,000 international vehicle and freight offers are available from ca. 85,000 users. In addition, the company offers the TC eBid® tendering platform and Europe’s largest online warehouse exchange services. Continuous investments in R&D ensure that all three online platforms keep an edge over the competition. Just recently, TimoCom fully overhauled its TC eMap® route planning and calculation module and added a tracking feature. The tracking functionality marks a first for TimoCom: it allows users to display data from telematics solutions, so that TimoCom shippers can track vehicles carrying their loads. Transics is one of the first telematics providers to develop such an alliance.

EFFICIENCY AND CONFIDENCE

Thanks to the collaboration between Transics and TimoCom, users of the TimoCom platform will be able to pinpoint the location of trucks equipped with a Transics fleet management solution. Transics’ customers, for their part, can allow in their TX-CONNECT back office software to make the truck visible in the TimoCom application and add extra added value to their customer service. “Not uncommonly, transport service providers and customers who use our platform are strangers to each other. They have never done business before. Being able to track the truck that ships their goods, instils trust in the users and helps everyone work more efficiently,” explains Marcel Frings, Chief Representative at TimoCom.

He continued: “Tedious and time-consuming follow-up calls are a thing of the past. The integration of third-party telematics solutions makes follow-up calls redundant. Users of our platform can now clearly see all the trucks laid out in one single application. We are delighted that Transics, Europe’s leading provider of fleet management solutions, has decided to collaborate with us.”

SIMPLIFY THE DAILY BUSINESS

“TimoCom’s dedication to build innovative products and services, which improve the daily transport business, echoes our own values and vision. By visualising Transics’ carriers on the TimoCom platform, we add extra added value to our solution, thus taking fleet management to the next level. For our customers, this results in a direct efficiency gain and an improved customer service,” said Walter Mastelinck, CEO of Transics.
