Transics, Europe’s leading player in high-end fleet management solutions for the transport and logistics sector, introduces TX-MAX, a new on-board computer to complement the popular Transics Quattro series. This powerful newcomer, designed and developed using leading-edge technology, caters to the needs of transport and logistics companies for more advanced solutions that will help them boost the professionalization of their operations even further.
An intuitive and user-friendly on-board computer
The TX-MAX on-board computer, built on the successful cornerstones of the existing Transics product range, developed on a Windows CE platform, as a guarantee for reliability and scalability, and GPRS communications features. In addition, the new platform, doped with the most powerful processor on the market, incorporates a user-friendly touchscreen with intuitive controls, that’s bound to make the life of the driver much easier. The intelligent on-board computer helps drivers in their daily reporting tasks, in communications, in managing and respecting driving and resting times and provides flawless navigation.
Extensive functionality with added value
Advanced embedded features include the TX-Digitach for the downloading and forwarding of tachograph data to the home base, TX-Integrated Navigation, which helps drivers to keep on the ‘ideal route’ and restrict parasite kilometres, and the Driving Time Assistance module, which helps drivers comply with national legislation regarding driving times. A unique and safe tool is the remote joggle wheel (TX-MAX Remote Control) that can be clicked onto the steering wheel, which allows the driver, for instance, to zoom in on the navigation screen or to consult his driving times without having to take his hands off the wheel.
Quattro Plus remains in the product offering
As a renowned provider of fleet management solutions, Transics is firmly committed to constantly improve its customers operational efficiency by equipping them with smart hard- and software solutions. The Quattro series of on-board computers, currently installed in thousands of trucks, is doing a good job in achieving that aim. It will, consequently, remain a spearhead in Transics’ product offering and be further maintained, updated and commercialised. However, carriers and logistics service providers will now have the choice between the popular Quattro Plus and the new TX-MAX. Both Transics on-board computers can be used in one and the same fleet.
TX-CONNECT suite for cost-effective total fleet management
The TX-MAX is part of the TX-CONNECT suite, a total solution for cost-effective fleet management. The TX-CONNECT software, developed in a secure .NET environment, is used at the carrier’s home base and communicates in real time with the TX-MAX on-board computer. It guarantees advanced possibilities for increased transparency, collaboration and interaction between the different players of the logistics chain: drivers, planners, managers but also subcontractors and customers. As it can be fully integrated into existing transport management software, TX-CONNECT is a cost-effective solution to streamline and optimise the working process of transport and logistics companies.
Understanding the transport business
“Our customers’ needs and wants are always the starting-point for our solutions,” said Walter Mastelinck, Transics’ CEO. “Over 18 years’ experience in the transport industry has given us a profound understanding of the business, so that we’re able to offer carriers and logistics companies real solutions that help them cope with today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. The TX-MAX is a landmark on-board computer that could not have been realized without listening directly to their concerns. I’m convinced it will help them to further professionalise their business, expand their service offering and save costs, in spite of today’s competitive market.” Initial customer feedback is very promising. “The TX-MAX on-board computer is user-friendly, intuitive and exceptionally reliable. Truly cutting-edge technology,” confirmed Yvon Fossart, driver at Translocad (Fr).
